Does AMEX Platinum offer medical assistance while traveling?

I’m from the US and recently sprained my nose while visiting the UK. I paid for my trip with my AMEX Platinum card, and I thought the card’s travel benefits would cover injuries or medical costs while abroad.

However, when I looked at the AMEX website, it seemed to indicate they should cover such expenses. That said, earlier this summer, I had a high fever while in Stockholm and called AMEX for assistance. The representative told me they don’t cover medical expenses, so I ended up paying all the costs myself.

Does anyone know the actual details of AMEX Platinum’s travel insurance benefits? Do they cover medical expenses while traveling, or am I misunderstanding something?
