Help with return
I returned a large number of items on January 7th. I immediately realized that it was getting refunded to a gift card instead of my credit card. Within 24 hours, I contacted Amazon customer service via the online chat, and was paired with a customer representative who confirmed that he was able to return the money to the original form of payment (my credit card) instead of a gift card. He said it would take 5 days to process.
Now, 9 days later, I call customer service and ask them what happened because it was still not returned to my bank account. They were able to view the chat transcript, and agreed that I followed the correct steps. However, since the customer service rep in the chat never actually submitted anything, and now since it’s outside of the 24hour window, they are unable to do anything.
Does anyone have any advice on what I should do next? I’m frustrated because it was several hundred dollars in returns, and it feels I’m being punished for Amazon’s mistake.
