Subscribe and save

I’ve been buying my coffee pods from Amazon for a while. I skipped the last order as thought I had plenty but clearly not enough to get me through to my next lot. If I go into subscriptions, it tells me I can buy it now without the subscribe and save for asap delivery. But is there anything stopping me cancelling the subscription and setting it up again immediately to still get the discount? Likewise, I guess if you wanted an item as a one time thing, could you buy it with subscribe and save and then cancel the subscription immediately after? Thanks in advance
