tips for students that feel underchallenged?
I love learning but I find school genuinely so fucking easy. I got almost full 9s in my 12 GCSEs after doing no revision in most subjects or very minimal revision in the subjects I did revise for. I also had attendance of maybe 60% at most and the lessons I did show up to I mostly slept through. then during my exams I finished most of the exams early and then napped for the rest of the time
now I was very excited for a levels because I heard they were difficult so I thought I might have a challenge finally. however its proving to once again be something I could do with my eyes closed. attendance is around 60-70% rn but I'm getting full marks in every test and I'm several topics in front of the class in all my subjects. at this point I'm gonna finish all the content by like, January...
I don't consider myself more intelligent than any other students necessarily but I know my brain absorbs information like a sponge. I've read several hundred books in my life, a lot of which are non-fiction, and I can still remember most of what was in them without even trying particularly hard. now because of this, I feel so incredibly unfulfilled, bored and underchallenged at school. I'm considering dropping out because school is unbearable to me since it's not fit to accomodate students with photographic memory like me. everytime I step into school I feel like ripping my hair out because it's all so fucking simple to me
does anyone have any tips on how to make my time worthwhile? for example some form of homeschooling where I could complete subjects faster? my only complaint about this though is that I would have to wait until June/July to sit the exams although I could probably finish the content earlier. especially in subjects like biology that are mostly memory based. alternatively suggestions of some kind of enrichment activities lke tutoring or volunteering so I could help others and actually do something worthwhile with my time would be appreciated. I want to use my brilliant memory for important things and to help the world but I feel like I'm wasting that potential if I'm stuck in school. I'm just so done
