castration on a 1,5 year old akita

Hello. long time lurker on this sub. also first time owner of this breed

Can you guys share some pro/cons about castration.

my akita loves to play with dogs but does it in a quite aggressive way, which some ownes find troublesome. also he tries to hump them.

my main concert is that after the castration he will lose the energy and "akitude" he has now.
