Harumasa agent story might be the best agent story so far

Everything I like about a story is here. Using other characters' stories as parallel to tell his story, visible hints around, only telling you a bit of their past at the start instead of laying it thick and then slowly telling it as the quest went on. It's executed so well.

there's also a life lesson tucked in between, cliche, but something I really appreciate in these stories when done well. the fact it was Harumasa saying all of it, a person who experienced struggling to live and questioned himself why he still struggles, gave it more weight. a bunch of this part is unvoiced but it stuck with me the most. I also very much appreciate how Seth's sense of justice helped Harumasa think things through again - that every life is worth saving, even his. I'm sure at the time he was saying things as a matter-of-factly since someone who went through it himself will tend to downplay it and will feel resigned to their fate.

near the end, his determination to see things through, the way he wanted answers as to why he was left behind and says it feels like it doesn't matter anymore, the way he said he has accepted what his master has done but not exactly forgive him, and then right after all these, he discovers the drug was specifically made by his master to help him. it was so bittersweet. I'm happy he got a resolution and have a strong support system with him now

I'm not gonna lie, he's probably my favorite character and I never expected that. at first, meeting him in the Ballet Twins area skipping work, I just thought he was a funny guy. then Virtual Revenge came, and yep he's a funny guy. then as time went on more and more cues of his condition popped up, and it made his joking/funny front even stronger as a contrast. it's peak I say.

as a low spender who wants to collect as much characters as possible, I was never gonna gun for any w-engine, but his agent quest made me do it and I will never regret it. live a longer and happy life my boy!
