Yes another Jaime thread
Jaime became one of the show's villains because he was a lawyer/politician instead of a cowboy. That's literally the only thing that makes him different than most of the other male characters in terms of evil things he has done. I'm not saying he was "good" but like I said compared to most of the other characters he definitely didn't seem worse than them. By the last couple of seasons Sheridans writing basically became "cowboy good everyone else bad" and that's how I think Jaime ended up on the villain side of the line of a show full of villains. Just my take. Also, the whole abortion/hysterectomy storyline, in my opinion the clear cut villains of that were the staff of the clinic who shared with him but didn't tell Beth what they were going to do. That is beyond unethical and disgusting. Jaime wasn't a good guy in that I just always thought he was a stupid kid who had a giant ass problem fall into his lap and like a lot of stupid kids he made a devastating choice.
