XRP Ventting session

I have a question!! My boyfriend recently jumped into stocks ... and is now totally obsessed about the stocks !!! He keeps constantly talking about XRP and is always saying he's gonna be a millionaire. Be have put in maybe 2 or 3k into XRP and last I know it's at 5K. Is this a bit much or dose this happen a lot ?
