Which ingredients have you embraced in losing weight?

I'm trying to build a shopping list for stepping up my weight loss journey. Obviously fruit and veg are a must, but what other ingredients are worth exploring?

I've seen miso paste used a lot in the low calorie soups I've been researching. So I'm going to try that.

Avocados are mentioned a lot for being healthy fat, I'm not a big fan of the taste, but I have a few in my fridge.
