Is there a specific benefit to 14:10 intermittent fasting, if I still eat 3 meals?

I’m trying to stop eating after dinner/before bedtime, because that’s usually when I go for the most unhealthy snacks (and binges).

I also take a thyroid pill in the morning that has to be on an empty stomach for an hour before breakfast or other meds.

So, I’m thinking about making it “official” and starting to try Intermittent Fasting from 6:30pm - 8:30am.

I can’t do a 16 hour fast because I need to eat something with my morning meds prior to whatever appointments I have that day.

So, I’ll still be eating 3 meals and 1-2 snacks.

Is there still a benefit to fasting, even if I don’t skip a meal?

For reference: I am pre-diabetic (not seeking medical advice)
