Emberwatch seems to be very bland?

So I just got back into underworlds recently(played the edition the farstalkers came in before) and all the underworlds warbands I had before seem pretty much the most uninspired things ever, they lack all the flavor every other faction had before and while I love how the grandfathers gardeners gimmick works all the grand alliances have nothing going for them in that department. The game has shifted from the unique artwork for individual warbands to pictures which isn't the worst it takes a lotta time to make them, but then all the very very diverse and interesting warbands they had before get shoved into some of the most generic abilities ever and with individual cards not having abilities it makes every grand alliance play in the exact same ways.

Am I going insane or is gw just trying to make the laziest reintroduction of the old warbands to make way for these new ones?

I got into underworlds for the individuality of everything and that seems to have been completely overwritten to make it less time heavy to produce, the rules from a first glance don't seem too different, and the edition seems like it took away more content than it added and the added content is not exactly the most impressive thing ever

Yes I did just get emberwatch and was looking over everything, minis are phenomenal and at the very least the set comes with more than enough decks to play different setups but it's all so underwhelming compared to the last edition I played

Edit: also the prices of the sets have increased as well, not officially of course for the cost of each set we are getting a third of the contents with the indiviualized decks being gutted from them, and it's not even for things with actual artwork or true unique quality, it's for pictures of the models, and while that's not horrible itself like I said, the actual time and effort put into these boxes do not match the cost anymore, the most time really put into making each set is the model design and that's it, and a short story about the warband, same cost for so so much less quality

I did not see that older warbands would be getting rules in upcoming seasons so I take that part back, sucks there so generic but if it's temporary that better than nothing
