PS3, PS2 issue

I want to play Smackdown Here Comes The Pain, but also be able to download all the SvRs. I'm not sure if I want to get a PS2 with worse graphics, or a backwards compatible PS3 with better graphics. I also don't know where to find a backwards compatible PS3 that is on Amazon. And I also don't know if I'll be able to find a PS3 HCTP disc. Not sure if it is in the PS Store. I am fine with worse graphics though.
