Couldn’t Be More Satisfied

Bought my ‘08 Passat Wagon 2 months ago and was excited about the styling and utility/ usability of it! I spent the last 4 weeks acquiring roof racks, a pair of bicycle racks, and a pair of kayak racks. Over the past 8 days, I ripped out the drafty north-facing wall in the basement and upgraded the insulation before the cold snap arrived! This past weekend, I bought my first kayak and used the racks for the first time. Today, since I had the afternoon free, I decided to take the kayak for my first dip, as the temperature today reached 50°f! After loading it up and doing my best to contain my excitement, I got to the lake and… DRAT!! Still a solid block of ice despite the milder temps for the last 3-4 days! 😂 We’re going back into a deep freeze over the next 10 days so this was the best opportunity! Oh well, I guess I’ll sit in it in my living room and make the noises until we actually thaw!😂 Sure is pretty on the car though! 😍
