Suggestions/tips for buying used?

I've seen a couple pop up on Marketplace and while I probably wasn't going to purchase for another month or two, the out of stock situation is making me consider buying a used Trainer now instead of waiting. Anyone have any suggestions or tips for buying used if I go that route?
