Mystery Dial Watches
Hello, fellow vintage watch enthusiasts. This year, I've started collecting vintage watches specifically the mystery dial ones. I've been meaning to get my hands on other mystery dial watches too, and I have recently bought expandable watch bracelets so I can swap them for fun. They look cool and the unique patterns on the bracelets are something I dig for.
The first one is from Gruen, I'm not entirely certain about its year of production and model number, but I loved the dial and the lugs of this watch.
The second one is the the Longines Admiral 1200 Mystery Dial, I love the pristine dial and embossed markers of the watch.
The last one is the Zodiac Olympos, I love the shape of the casing imitating a stingray.
I have a question for how can I better take care of these watches. I recently bought an acrylic glass polisher for their crystals and I religiously wind them daily. What I noticed after wearing them and winding them is the dial on both Longines and Zodiac are producing something like dots or patina, worried that it may affect their pristine condition. I don't mind the patina on dials, I just thought that maybe I'm not taking care of them properly. Also, when is the right time to service these kinds of watches? The Gruen Mystery Dial Watch is not hitting the right hour mark, I'm assuming it needs a service so it can be fixed.
Thanks :)))
