SCAM ALERT

Just wanted to pop in here and give the heads up of a new scam (maybe not new, but new to us). My wife was on a delivery when she got a call from someone claiming to be with Uber about a possible extra person violation and said they were going to go ahead and cancel the current order she was on.

It seems to me these people placed an order and while it was happening, called to say they were uber and going to cancel the order (probably the order that they placed) to make it look like they were legit uber.

After that, they go through and "verify" all of your information but they are doing this to gain access to your uber pro card account so they can set up their own card to funnel your account's money into theirs.

Uber will send security text messages urging you not to click the links stating "we don't ever ask you to do this" but, you'll be one the phone with these people and they sound so convincing that you'll just hit the link without question.

In the end, they totally drain your account of all of your earnings.
