I did uber eats for the first time today…

So today to make some extra money when I got off work I decided to try uber eats and SHEESH the pay is pretty bad I started around 5 and ended at 9 I made a little under 15 bucks an hour for 8 orders I’m not sure how people do this for a living with how low the orders are I was on a declining spree and I think it’s absolutely disrespectful that they would even offer 2 dollar 25 minute orders who the hell would accept that???? I didn’t take anything under 5 bucks I made 22.39 off orders and 38.53 off tips it’s crazy how much tips matter when trying to make money off this app, and I find it pretty wild that they give you an estimated tip to trick you into taking the order, I took a 16 dollar 30+ minute order thinking I was going to get 16 dollars but really only got like 8 bucks out of it. I will say in my 4 hours it definitely made me respect delivery drivers more and I’ll be tipping more going forward. So yea just thought I’d share this I’m not sure if this is a good day or a bad one but I mean it’s an extra 60 bucks I can use lol. This is in Rhode Island btw it’s pretty busy around providence/cranston
