UT Austin Staff- do you feel like the university is actively against staff with disabilities? Supervisors, do you have any insight?
Throughout my time I've seen management actively pass on good candidates bc they have a disability. I've also seen so many quality, knowledgeable and talented individuals with disabilities get overlooked for professional growth and instead promote healthy individuals even though they are unqualified.
Lastly, the university and departments actively treat any worker with WFH accommodations as an inconvenience.
Are there other staff that feel the same? Are there any supervisors who can tell us why and if the university is mandating this type of behavior?
