Package misdelivered and then stolen.

The other week, I had a package get delivered while I was at work, but didn’t find anything when I went to go look for it.

The photo UPS provided was definitely not my porch, but was recognizably the neighbors across the street. I didn’t think anything of it at first, I know the man and he’s a relatively chill man.

I go up and ask if he had my package, and he claims he’s never seen it. Pulls out the footage from his ring camera, which shows the package being stolen from his porch.

UPS claims that because the package was stolen, it’s not their responsibility.

i claim that because they didn’t deliver it to my house to begin with, that they are responsible for it.

…who’s right? What do I do??
