Is this a strange reason to be rejected for finance?
I have some credit card debt that I’m paying down, but I know I would pay it down faster without the interest so I applied for a 0% interest credit card. I applied for some a little while back and was rejected which I thought was odd as I have good credit and a good income. So I just increased my monthly payment and didn’t think any more of it. I got a 0% offer through recently and decided to try again. This time the card provider sent me a reason for rejection and it’s that me, or someone I have financial ties to, lives at a different address than the one I gave. I only have financial ties to two people, one is my spouse and the other is a parent. I live with one and not the other. There’s not much I can do about that fact. Is this a strange reason to be rejected for credit? Is there anything I can do about it that doesn’t involve us all moving in together?
