The public art of the WTC before and after
- The Sphere by Fritz Koenig sat proudly in the center of the Tobin Plaza
- While battered, The Sphere survived the collapse of the towers
- And now sits at Liberty Park across from the WTC
- Bent Propeller by Alexander Calder moved several times before resting in front of WTC 7
- Remains of the Bent Propeller were found in the rubble
- One of the pieces of Bent Propeller is on display at the 9/11 memorial museum
- A memorial to the 1993 bombing by Elyn Zimmerman sat over the site of the bombing in front of the Marriott
- Only a chunk of the memorial was recovered and is now on display at the museum
- Cloud Fortress by Musayuki Nagare sat at the Church St entrance to the plaza
- While Cloud Fortress did survive the attack it was destroyed to allow emergency services to reach the site
- Ideogram by James Rosati sat between the towers and was never recovered
- The World Trade Center Tapestry by Joan Miro and Josep Royo, sat in the lobby of the south tower and was never recovered
- Sky Gate New York by Louise Nevelson sat in the lobby of the north tower and was never recovered
