Anybody hired a marketer?

Hello, I recently had an idea. Hire a marketer or someone with alot of connections from a platform like Freelancee.com for really cheap, then let the students roll in. The best part is that (according to Freelancer) you only pay them once you are satisfied with their work, and if you set the price low enough, you'll profit. Has anyone else tried this before? Does it work?
