Tunisian short animated movie

I'm working on my own short animated movie, and I was wondering ,if the market for short animated movies or series doesn't exist here, how can I participate in a competition or apply in a category that isn't available locally? I know I'm creating this short film mainly for myself, to express my feelings through it, but it would still be great for others to see it on the big screen
