URGENT ADVICE NEEDED

So my friend got diagnosed with TB 2 days ago and he was symptomatic for atleast 2 months(coughing) and we thought it's just some cold. but now from 2 days I'm having cough occasionally like 3-4 times a day and somewhat a sore throat. I think I have also caught it. So I went to a GP today and he prescribed two tests- X-ray and CBC(complete blood count). I wanted to know that whether these tests can tell whether I have TB or not. Please respond to this post as I am very anxious.
