We can't really pull out, can we?

If the support for Ukraine were to be pulled out from under them, this war would probably be over pretty quickly. But what would all these guys do - guys who sacrificed their country for the promise of a big fat payout when Ukraine was to be "rebuilt"? Once that support started coming in, promises had to be made. Dangerous people were trained. What's supposed to happen if these scary dudes don't get what they want?
