HA isn't worth it.

Judging from my now batchmates from other senior high schools, we (UST SHS - HA) were deprived of experiences that you would really expect from a center of excellence for Medicine.

Personally, I was that student who was kind of boastful, kasi when you heard the HA strand, wala syang kaparehas. It's like there's something prestige when you thought and speak of it. I chose this strand because I was expecting that we'd get more hospital exposure or even kahit laboratory exposures lang. I had my hopes high, kasi I knew na this university had a hospital in it. UST is also known for its med and pre-med programs. From the outside, it was so nice to study here.

But it was all that. Now that I'm a freshman in college, I got exposed to a lot of people. Seeing their posts made me question my experience. They had work immersions in legit pharmacies, got them wearing scrubs and had mini duties in hospitals, got exposures in phlebotomy, histopathology, semen analysis and uranalysis, and even radiology. While the best thing we did during work immersion was to get vitals of students and watch a 2 day online webinar. There was also a time where we had an orientation and it said that we'd have a first aid training with PRC, but until we graduated and there was none.

It's just slightly disappointing for me. That big of a tuition fee for almost nothing when there were schools out there offering more than what we had with only half or even 1/3 of the fee we had in HA.
