Why aren't my tiktoks gaining many views?

A large portion of my tiktoks are Game of Thrones related content, and while some of them have blown up and gotten several thousand likes, the rest usually stay very low. Is this because the fandom I'm trying to get traction in is just too filled with editors and tiktokers? I see plenty of other people routinely getting several million likes, but mine is either hit or completely miss. Should I try a smaller fandom or something?
