Tim's healing

As Tim is still healing and he did break up with her because he felt he wasn't good enough for her, do you think now he genuinely wants to get back together. I feel the flirting is just a way to be close to her without actually being together. He doesn't want to be with her but he doesn't want her with anybody else. Tim doesn't seem the type to grovel to get her back.
