S3E2 ... I'm every woman

I watched this episode and episode 3 in quick succession, but I feel like each episode needs its own dedicated post.

The Temu twins (called the doublemints by the other teams) opted to use their fast-forward immediately, which did seem to pay off, but they could easily find themselves near the bottom later. I didn't see them go upside down with the Voladores, and I felt they should have been made to redo it, but w.e.

Pyramid of the sun looks f-ing awesome to visit. Are visitors still allowed to climb to the top? Looks exhausting but worth it.

The bus to Cancun looked exhausting, as Mexico is no small country. I'm sure you'd see some fascinating things on your journey down though. The car crash brought me back to the Brazilian bus ride, where other teams were also left stranded, but I'm glad no one was hurt. It's interesting the back up bus came so soon.

Then teams had to head to the San Marino Marina, which probably wasn't named after the small country in Italy (which I've been to!). There was a detour of Horse Power vs Man Power, at which point Arianne made an incredibly judgy comment about Mike: "Last leg they chose the donkey, this week they chose the kayaking. I'm not sure if it's cowardice but Kathy needs a stronger man around." What the actual fuck? 1) Stay in your own fucking lane bitch. 2) how is kayaking compared to a wave runner cowardice? 3) using your actual strength to push the kayak is actually more 'strong man' behaviour than riding a wave runner which anyone with limbs can do. Damn that comment pissed me off, and now I don't like her anymore. Also to be so judgy after just two legs.

The teams then had to get to Chankanaab Park, which cued this fantastic line from Tramel: "Chaka Khan? Why can't places just be called Detroit?!" I knew the name Chaka Khan, but not what songs she'd done, and was surprised she'd done a few bangers that I already knew, including the title of this summary. I know this song because (another 90 day story) on the Family Chantel, mama Karen once said that she is every woman, it's all in her, as a way to clap back at Pedro's family. God she was dumb but entertaining.

Folks had to swim in a pond of dolphins (sounds amazing, though it looks like the dolphins were caged, which made me sad). Why on earth did Mike opt to do it if he couldn't swim? Anyway, he did it (Manly enough for you, Arianne?) and then it was time to head for that pit stop.

It was a nail biter to see who would get over that finish line last, and I was once again gutted that Tramel and Talicia (who came up with the TNT team name, which is PERFECT!) were out. They were a real spark of joy and made their impact on this season, and I will miss them dearly. So far, the teams this season have stood out more to me personality wise than the previous two, where it feels like a random jumble for the first few episodes. Better editing perhaps, or perhaps just more likeable people. Now onto the next episode...
