Is low Iron common on TRT?

I've been on TRT for 6 years. I've been doing theraputic blood donations to keep my hematocrit and hemoglobin in optimal order.

The entire time I've been on TRT, I've never really felt like a lot of you say you feel on here.

Turns out the theraputic donations led to me becoming anemic. It came up in bloodwork, at first my endo thought I was bleeding internally. After getting scope'd all was good. So I went to my hematologist and she tested me and said its from the donations, she ordered an iron infusion via IV.

I had this done last Monday, 1/20/25. Bu the 23rd my hands and feet were no longer cold. By Saturday, I was feeling UNBELIEVABLE! I had another one today, and the nurses said it will take about 4 weeks to really kick in.

I'm thinking based on how I feel, I've likely always been close to anemic, they never tested me for it, just hemoglobin and hematocrit really. This has significant other implications for me because I have ADHD and it got 10x worse about 5 years ago.. i never connected these dots...

Anyone else experience something similar?
