Tesla Winter Climates

Hey everyone, I have had my Model Y in North Texas for 1.5 years, I’m expecting an ice storm this week and was curious how the cars handle defrosting.

I have a home charger with 40A

I have 3 cars and would like to park the older “rare” cars in the garage, leaving the Tesla outside.

If I want to drive the Tesla after a night of ice, I’m expecting the doors to be frozen shut and maybe stuck glass that won’t lower in order to open.

How much time is usually needed for the outside of the car to defrost with door handles? 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit with a sheet of ice covering the entire car.
