Is it worth spending a therapy session talking about my fears around current politics?
I don't live in the US, and I know my therapist is on the same page as me politically. The country I live in will likely have elections soon though and may follow the US into this current situation.
I don't need my fears validated, most people I know are on the same page. It's reasonable for me to have the worries I have.
I normally spend therapy processing trauma so I try to not spend too much time on present day issues.
But, the world is kind of terrifying right now. Is there really anything to be gained though from spending a therapy session talking about it all?
I especially would appreciate any therapist's in this community's opinion, and those of people who've had a session about this recently, was it helpful?
