TMJ mouthguards.... rip off?

So,

I've already paid an asinine amount of money for a day time splint and a night time splint (4500). SINCE WEARING THE NIGHT GUARD, I have developed a terrible snoring problem, which, low and behold, after a sleep study has revealed that I have sleep apnea.... which this doctor also specializes in.

He wants to charge me AN ADDTIONAL 2500 (!!!!!) for ANOTHER night guard that will advance my jaw so I dont snore.

Does anyone know if I can find a cheaper alternative / something that will work just as well?
