What were folks opinion when S15 aired?

I watched the show religiously when it aired, up until the leviathan season 7 ended in 2012. Then I took a 12 year hiatus and picked up from Season 8 in January 2024 and literally just finished Season 15 about 10 minutes ago.

How was the final season received when it first aired? I loved it and don't think the show could have ended any better, but I'm curious what others think.
