Should I get steam deck? 512gb Poland

I just got confirmation from valve that I can get my 512gb steam deck.

I work in IT, I'm a long time PC gamer, I'm not afraid to mess with configuration, install mods, troubleshoot issues etc. I don't mind spending some time doing that.

However, the main reason for getting steam deck is possibility to play in bed or on couch when my wife is sleeping or watching TV. We are expecting a baby, so I was thinking hanging in baby's room any playing while it is sleeping. I heard a lot of bad things about fan noise and I'm afraid that I will be unable to use steam deck in intended way. Also I heard that Eastern Europe (I'm from Poland) get noisier fans.

I play a lot of different games. Bought Elden Ring some time ago, would be nice to play it. Have to finish that Witcher 3 at some point! I love stellaris, rimworld.
