Could I reimage my steamdeck by putting the ssd into my pc?

I've got a black screen of death issue, which has essentially bricked my steamdeck. I can't get picture on the screen nor on an external monitor. I can't get into bios or anything. I'm wondering, if I remove the ssd, plug it into my pc then reimage it on my pc and put it back into my steamdeck, would that essentially bypass the step of needing to boot from the usbdrive?
