If you are having audio issues while docked, try this!

How are you all doing? Let's get to business. Since I got my deck, I love to play it docked: big tv and some old games run really good at 1080p/1440p 60 fps. But I always had a bothersome problem: audio would start crackling, then go mute for few seconds then come back.

This happened randomly: sometimes it would go for hours without happening, sometimes it happened every few minutes. I looked up on this community and there were some tips like lowering resolution, restarting, switch HDMI cable (tried the one I got with PS5, no luck), get another dock (I bought another one, still waiting for it). But none of these worked here.

But today I stumbled on a workaround that seems to have fixed it. I can't really say for sure because I only played for a couple of hours, but the audio at all my time playing inspired me with confidence. All perfect.

Enough talk, let's get to it. You need to disable wifi power management that deck has enabled by default. Just follow these steps: Go to Settings > System > Check Enable Developer mode > now go to the Developer section at the bottom of the left hand menu that appeared > Scroll down a bit to the Miscellaneous part > Uncheck Enable Wi-Fi Power Management

That's it. Am I being too hopeful that it really fixed? Maybe. But I really hope not. Let us know if it fixed for you!
