I love this game... but why does it do this?

I want to make it clear that I love this game. The State of Decay games have been almost exactly what I wanted in a zombie game. When everyone was complaining about there being too many zombie games, I knew there was only one and then two real zombie games.

But oh my god this game irritates me. There was a survivor in an enclave that I really wanted. So I would ignore every other mission when one from that enclave came up. Resulting in missing out on trading and other survivors that I also wanted. I nearly lost vehicles and survivors. I used up a ton of ammo, fuel and toolkits while all of my cars are nearly destroyed and still can't find anyone with Mechanics or a skill book for it.

And what do I get for it? Nothing! I just got a mission that they are leaving town.... the mission is helping the people that I have been doing everything I can to KEEP HERE, to leave town.

It feels like some kind of cruel joke.

You're meant to help an enclave to become friendlier with them, so you can trade with them and eventually ask one to join you if you want to do that. That's literally the entire point of them, right?

So why are they leaving?

I thought I might now still get the chance to recruit one at the end... but no. I do get to give them some of my resources though... wow. Great.....
