What looks better??

I feel like the cushions bring more color and make it less bland, but the rug really pulls the space together and makes it feel a bit more cozy...

I may place a little chair in the corner I'm standing in to make a little reading nook but I'm still brain storming- I'm totaly open to ideas and suggestions!!
