Marvel can’t decide if Miles should get a superhero alias

So, if you don’t have little ones, you might not not be familiar with the current show “Spidey and His Amazing Friends”. This show is geared towards children growing out of the toddler phase that might not be ready for the action and dialog of TAS.

The show follows Peter, Miles and Gwen (roughly age 8 if I remember correctly) as a trio of the Spider super heroes we all know and love. The show is a little more far fetched than normal with finds like a headquarters that towers over Aunt May’s apartment whenever they need to spring into action and high tech gadgets like their Spidey watches that alert them when they’re needed.

Now, I understand the target audience means that they will change things like the Green Goblin doesn’t have pumpkin bombs, but instead has “pumpkin pranks”. Whatever. Another one of these changes was to decide to give Miles’s the superhero name “Spin” to avoid confusing kids since there is already a Spider-man (I guess). This irritated me a little since we’ve already established him as Spider-man on and the comics and the Spider-Verse movies, but I’ve gotten over it.

This is the part that frustrates me. In multiple forms of media, they cannot remember what they named him. My kids have comics and traditional books that introduce or recap who the characters are - listing the characters by their superhero names but calling Miles just “Miles”. Initially, I thought it was a fluke when I found it in 2023’s Free Comic Book Day issue - especially since they fixed it in Spidey and His Amazing Friends issue #2. But then, I found the same mistake in a boxed set of books my kids have in the title Meet Team Spidey. According to the box, it’s the first addition - dated 2024.

Anyone else notice this? Find any other discrepancies?
