Unpopular Opinion: Spider-Man was not originally red and black

Spider-Man's costume was not originally red and black, it was always red and blue. Jonathan Ross, the host of the BBC documentary "In Search of Steve Ditko" https://youtu.be/3gwDnhMO8is?si=bPrx5Tl5Xf6381X- , confirmed on the podcast Forbidden Planet https://youtu.be/AjQnTWpUWg8?si=tLDA6LKr_5QoxUj4 that Steve Ditko's original intention was for Spider-Man to be coloured orange and purple but it was changed by editorial and legendary Marvel colourist Stan Goldberg. Steve Ditko inked every single issue he worked on, AF #15 and ASM #1 - ASM #38 and the colour change wasn't decided upon until after the pages were finished (penciled and inked) meaning if Steve had 2 colour choices for suit that the black on Spider-Man's suit isn't meant to be the colour, it's the shading. Daredevil was originally coloured and inked the same way. His vest and trunks on his original suit were red but in the actual art, they were inked black with red highlights and DD but no one ever says that Daredevil's original costume was yellow and black. Daredevil's original costume also helps with another argument I hear to say it was red and black too. "But when you see his back spider, it's blue in AF #15 which means the suit is black" Meanwhile Daredevil's DD is red on what is a red shirt. There's also never been an official statement from Marvel in any capacity that it was originally black. So, Spider-Man's suit was originally red and navy blue with a lighter blue back spider which they immediately changed to red come ASM #1. Then, starting with the cover of ASM #1 and continuing in every cover afterwards, the blue became lighter and the inked shading decreased drastically. This also carried on into the interior art with the shading being reduced in ASM #2 and the lighter blue being added in ASM #5. All the new stuff coming out that "proves" it was originally Red and Black is just Disney riding the wave of what the popular opinion is which is what they've done ever since they bought Marvel with the constant changes to characters and objects because of what the movies popularize.
