Help me figure out if this is a scam?

My brother has been begging my mom for spectrum WiFi for quite some time now, he games a lot and our current t mobile hotspot isn’t doing the job for him anymore.

The problem is, the website/number my brother gave to my mom looks weird. The website he gave her is the official.spectrum.com and the number she called 844-822-4649

This whole thing looks incredibly fishy to me and when I came home and heard the news, I wanted to come on here to ask if anyone knows whether that website is a scam or not. My mom gave them her debit card info, ss and pretty much all of that stuff.

I’m pretty worried right now as I don’t want her to get her identity stolen or whatever or her card hacked. The guy on the phone sounded legit since he seemed to know about all of the spectrum type stuff. Anyway, please help me figure this out so I can help my mom out.
