There is more to life
I wanna start this post off by saying I like this game it's a solid 7/10 and I do enjoy dabbling every now and then. That being said I take very frequent breaks from playing this for my mental health and overall enjoyment of Dragonball. I'm pretty good I'm B1 ranked and I don't practice I work and I'm a kickboxer so I only have time to play and I play online because I see no point in playing a CPU. My ranked win rate is like 56 percent or so and I'm fine with that. I've noticed though this game is unusually sweaty. Like this game is sweatier than most fighting games I've played. I've come to the conclusion that dragonball fans have wayyyy too much to prove. I see so many people using teams that don't match ie Videl, Recum (I know what his name really is), and vegeto to win things like all the fucking cartwheeling non stop, beast gohan being everywhere (I get it he's new but fuck yall are only spamming him because he's an instant win that takes very little effort and can make even the most unskilled look good), running away from combat being a viable strategy over throwing hands and shit like that. I remember when BT3 was out we had fun making cool what if teams and scenarios that would actually exist in the show. That was the FUN. Beam clashes, mid fight transformations to match power levels, fighting to look cool not doing the same cheese to win, all these things made gaming fun. Now you got all these basement dwellers who have no other prospects sweating and watching YouTube for hours just to be able to say they are good at this game and for what? What girl is dating you for this? What job is hiring you for this? Does it make you a better person? No it gives you a small dopamine shot. I get it we all need something to live for but fuck if you value your mental health take a break from this game and remember to go outside. Train your body decompress and go meet people instead of always being in sweaty competition with other sweats stressing over nothing. I miss the fun games used to have before everyone had to sweat to impress the internet and try to convince people of their worth.
