What is the deal with Speed hackers lately?

I have played smite for 5k hrs, played since season 3, from season 3 to now i have seen 1 speed hacker in all that time. i came back from a year long break and have seen around 7 speedhackers in about 30hrs of gametime. what the hell is happening? i mean they are still terrible players but still just weird to see in smite
