Sims Pregnancy: why so short?

One of the main things that irk me about Sims is the length of their pregnancies. 1-3 days and they’re popping out their newest addition. Why are they so short? Why haven’t they added a way to lengthen and shorten pregnancy like life times? My Sim is currently in her 3rd trimester—- ah I lied as I sit here typing this lady just went into labor. She has an infant asleep a few bedrooms down.. I was hoping she would be pregnant for his birthday party and deliver some time after but I certainly didn’t time it right. Why don’t we have pregnancy related content, outside of the vomiting which seems to be only something you can select on the toilet. Why not cravings and swollen feet and ankles.. options for Lamaze classes or dulas, pregnancy appointments and ultrasounds.. a baby book? Anything more to make this journey to making a family a little more special? I dunno maybe I’m getting too obsessed 😂 Picture of new Bub for Tax.
