Around 0, cloudy in Helena MT and MY SILVER!

Slim pickings today, but here we are. A nice Peace at 30.00 from the cull bin, and a 1974 Silver Bullion Exchange Silver Monark with toning. The front is more deeply toned.

Currently generics and select sovereign are 3.00 over spot. My choice in sovereign coinage was extremely limited, a few milk spotted Brits, a few milk spotted maple leafs. But I wanted these. ASEs are still 5 over spot or higher, a dude bought the last of the numismatic priced Libertads. There were half a dozen, some old, some newer, in cardboard.

Some ten ounce ASAHI bars were sold too. The small gold is impossible to keep in stock and apparently hard to get. The ounce gold is moving slowly. Numismatic gold is not moving. Who can afford that?

Numismatic silver has also slowed dramatically, folks are looking for generics and weight. Almost no over tge counter sellers.

In other random news, regular gas 2.99, diesel 3.29. A case of large eggs at Walmart is 21.97, costco still 16.69. And man, folks are stocking up at costco on them.

At the US Chef store meanwhile, a case of large eggs is 51.99. OVER. 50. DOLLARS. INSANITY. But, we got 3 pound packages of bacon ends and pieces there for 8.49. Go figure. Amd onions are holding at 59 cents a pound in bulk. Bell peppers are at minimum 1.05 per pepper for the colored kind, 79 cents for green ones.

Would you believe the only place I could find number 10 cans of diced tomatoes was the chef store, and cheapest was 7.09?!

I KNEW I should have bought more than 3 cans at costco when they had them for 3.97 a few months ago. They disappeared again. I hope they come back.

Lowest price on pork this week, 2.19 for pork cushion pieces in the bag. 73/27 hamburger, 3.29 a pound in the 10 pound chubs. Chicken leg quarters would be 79 cents a pound in 10 pound bagz everywhere if ANYWHERE had them lol. Chef store has boxes of small ones at 1.59 a pound. Sheesh.

Dollar tree has become a mad max store. On the days they are open, MOBBED. And when we were in Tuesday, we joined the fun. Helped unpack cases of juices, took what we were buying, stocked the shelves with the rest. They are at least up to 5 days a week fairly regularly but reduced hours still.

Folks were setting off leftover fireworks Monday night. Quite a few, in fact.

The cops apparently didn't see a dang thing lol.
