I want to love this show….. But I can’t

This is really bugging me.

I’ve watched Severance upto the current episode and is frustrating the hell out of me, because my overall feeling is it’s just not a very good show….

I’ve continued watching because the acting, cinematrophy and general premise of severance are so good. I could watch John Turturro all day.

My issue is, it never answers any questions. We’ve had what, almost 2 seasons in and nothing has ever been revealed. From the small things to the larger arc.

The weird number sorting job? Goats? The dark corridor and room? The fact the “real world” is early 80s but technologically in some ways they’re beyond that? Why is he wife on the severance floor? What is Cobel doing and why? The building they’re in is unlikely to support the size of rooms and vast size for each department? (even if underground)… The list could go on and on….

The problem for me is there are so many large and small inconsistencies or mysteries that it now needs to be some large unifying theory like it’s all AI or it’s just a dream etc etc. As they’ve never addressed ANY of them. Which I can’t help but feel would be utterly disappointing and really then makes me question “wtf did I watch all this for”.

Yes I’ll keep watching (but only because the other aspects of it are top notch and I like the characters) but beyond that I think we’re all in for a massive disappointment. Like the Games Of Thrones ending but 50x worse.
