What are The Board's pronouns?

It seems that Harmony consistently refers to the Board as "they/them", while Natalie consistently uses "it." I'm not entirely sure and I'm not going to hunt down specific scenes to check. But I've seen several people here since Season 1 first aired mention that The Board is most likely a motherboard or something like that. Kind of like The Director in Travelers. Just one supercomputer making all those decisions. Anyway,

Has mention of The Board been even weirder for English speakers outside the United States?

If I recall correctly, we do pronouns differently for groups. (I could be so wrong about all of this. Bear with me. I don't get out (of the country) much).

I would say, "My family is crazy", using the singular verb "is" to refer to my family as one unit, even though it is understood that my family unit is comprised of multiple people.

But I think in the UK and other English-speaking places, they would say "My family are crazy", using the plural verb.

It's weird because I'll say "My family is crazy. They are about to drive me crazy too." Which seems inconsistent. I'm tired as heck and I can't sleep.

But anyway, to us (US) it's not weird that Harmony says

"I look forward to receiving them" when The Board agreed to look at her data, but also "Is The Board even there?" when she got fired.

But maybe to someone else who dropped in on the "Harmony gets fired" scene, her question of "Is The Board even there?" would be a tell that The Board is not a group of people, but a single, undivided entity.

The show has been dropping a few more breadcrumbs by allowing us to hear Natalie refer to The Board as "it".

Okay, good night for real this time. I think the magnesium is finally kicking in.
