Rant, but it’s my fault

Low key annoyed, I went in to Sephora to buy the Dior backstage foundation. Told the sales guy that I wanted a shade match, and he then sales pitched me the Lawless foundation telling me it was $30+ more than the Dior. I wasn’t really paying attention to price in the moment, but looked up when I got home and they are the same price. Additionally, he said the foundation oxidizes up (going paler), that’s seemed super sus. The experience was uncomfortable. I ended up buying it out of pressure. I do not like it. Way too matte. I know I could have just not bought it, but still. I hate that he just didn’t help with what I wanted and now I have to go back and return the product. I don’t live close to the Sephora closest to me.

EDIT: After reading similar stories, it 100% was a sales rep. He didn’t have a name tag, and he couldn’t help me find another product by a different company. Definitely a learning lesson.
