Should I sell or fix-up?

I have a scion 2006 with 158k miles on it. I am looking at buying a new car (hybrid maverick or niro). The closer I get to deciding on a new car the more I don’t want to sell my Xb. Would it be crazy to put about 5k into it, Paint, minor body work, new stereo and so motor mounts? I’m the only owner and I feel I can get another 5 years out of it. Your input will be greatly appreciated.
